Deeply soulful, yet with the ability to sail effortlessly through the most intricate jazz melodies, Virna is renowned for her passionate delivery and remarkable improvisational approach, whether breathing new life into much-loved standards or effortlessly reinventing little-known gems. 

With her quartet, that features an array of Sydney's finest musicians, she performs regularly at festivals and intimate venues, weaving in her diverse musical influences including elements of her rich cultural heritage. She also collaborates in other formats with some of Sydney's most renowned performers, delivering soul-stirring gospel infused concerts with master pianist Kevin Hunt, and deep-swinging two out shows with renowned bassist Phil Stack.

Virna has also appeared as a featured guest with many of Australia's jazz luminaries, including James Morrison, Tony Gould, Judy Bailey, New York based Australian pianist Sean Wayland, and legendary acid jazz group DIG (Directions In Groove).
