In addition to her work as a soloist, Virna has performed extensively as a backing vocalist, with a diverse range of much loved Australia artists.
In 2023 she toured Australia and the UK as vocal director and backing vocalist with Savage Garden front person Darren Hayes, and has also toured and played regular shows with artists such as Richard Clapton, Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Paul Kelly, Vika and Linda Bull, Delta Goodrem, as well as Paul Capsis and Thirsty Merc. She regularly joins David Campbell on both backing vocals and duets, having contributed backing vocals to his Dream Lover album.
Her substantial list of television credits includes Australian Idol, Sunrise, Today Show, The Voice, Carols in the Domain, the Australia Day Live televised concerts led by John Foreman and ABC New Years Eve Live on the ABC. In these settings, Virna has provided backing vocals for artists such as Tina Arena, Casey Chambers, Paulini, Budjera, Christine Anu, Vanessa Amorosi, Yothu Yindu, Iva Davies, Gordi, The Seekers, Dami Im, Oh Land (Denmark) and many others.

Virna has worked consistently as a session singer for close to 25 years and in this time has done countless recordings for radio, film, television and a range of other media. She has contributed both lead and backing vocals to soundtracks, albums, commercials, and has also tracked backing vocals for large-scale, live broadcast concerts and events. Virna is known for her wide range of skills, her speed, accuracy, and her ability sing in a variety of styles and languages.
